Wet n Wild - Fauna Collection

Well, well well...look at what I found at my local Walgreens right before I got ready to check out!

It's the Wet-n-Wild Fauna Collection...and you can't beat the price!!!!!

The first item is the Color Icon Blush in color 831E - Pealscent Pink..it's a nice subtle sheer pink (swatched in photo at the bottom to the right) in a matte finish...its really close to the Mellow Wine which I just recently lost and was close to finishing so I found this kit just in time.

I'm actually looking forward to using this eye shadow  - at first I wasn't too found of using all three of these colors because i'm use to darker colors but now that they have had time to grow on me I can't wait to see what I come up with.
The swatches are not that pronounced on my skin tone so I will definitely be using a eye shadow primer to make sure that the colors pop especially in warm temperatures...I absolutely do not like chalky eye shadow.

Now on the a girl's favorite tool...LIP GLOSS!!!!!!
This lip gloss is called a lip gel in color 311A-Glass Confusion...it's on the thicker side but it's not overwhelming and its a really sheer mauve pink tint. it's really shiny and not very sticky at all...

Now we have arrived to the polish Teal or No Teal - 227C it's a pretty deep blue with a green tint with have the tendency to alternate between the two colors depending on the lighting...i'll be swatching this color soon...but right now i'm getting ready to go to bed...I am totally bummed out right now and work and the park with the little one.

Overall i'm excited to do a makeup look using this collection and pick it up and give it a try...this is one of two colors.  The other collection was a little to loud and bright for me but to each it's own...i'm going to bed now...Good Night Darlings!!!!!

Wet n Wild ~ Ice Baby Glitters (My Collection)

Ok so previously I posted a picture of the Wet N Wild Ice Baby Glitter Collection which debuted around Thanksgiving Holiday but now my haul is complete.  Between Walgreens and CVS Pharmacy I  was able to round up my collection and I must say that I love each and every single color.

So before I get to rambling here are the colors I have in my haul:

The Pros -

  • nice pigmented polishes
  • brush is easy to apply polish nice and smoothly
  • great affordable price
Cons -
  • limited edition polishes
  • does not come in normal 0.5oz bottles; the bottle size is .34 fluid ozs
  • not easy to find all colors; had to do alot of shopping around

Savvy Femme Couture

Let's see...where do I begin - well to make a long story short my son decided that he was going to oil himself and the carpet with my cuticle oil so I had to make a made dash to my local Sally's Beauty Supply to grab another bottle and also a few other things and I notice that they had marked down polishes for $1.99.

I really wanted the China Glaze Magnetic Polishes but the sales clerk informed me that they would not be getting them at that particular store which kind of ticked me off but I found them cheaper online at www.Transdesign.com; well anyway enough rambling I bought two colors and decided to swatch them the same night (www.bored.com).

For a $1.99 its just ok...I would rather had spent the money on SinfulColors but hey it is what it is.  The two colors I picked up are Cool Beige (left) and Party Pink(right).

I wasn't too happy with the formula of this polish it was very streaky and I had to literally wait approx. 10 minutes to apply a second coat without the polish looking to thick.  Overall I love the color - its a nice neutral color with a hint of shimmer and would be great for a gradient leopard print mani or worn alone.  I think I wanna add a little polish thinner to it...for better application.

Party Pink - the name describes the color...I love this shade of pink, it goes really well on my skin tone.  I like it soo much that i'm forgiving on the fact that the formula was thin and a little runny but overall its not bad.  I applied two coats and didn't have the same drying issues I had with Cool Beige.  I'm excited to see how well this would work in the water for a water marble mani???

Overall i'm happy with the color choices but don't think its a brand I will be purchasing again in the future.
